Booker TLocal, regional, national and international performers grace the stage at the Crestone Music Festival.

When you come to CrestFest, you’ll want to stay awhile. Set in the beautiful high-altitude desert of the San Luis Valley, at the foot of the 14,000-foot peaks of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, there’s nothing else quite like it. CrestFest boasts proximity to hot springs, wilderness, mountain biking, camping and hiking, and spectacular climbing. There’s lots to see and lots to do in this scenic, historic area.

Getting to CrestFest is easy by car. It is about 45 minutes north of Alamosa or one hour south of Salida.

Dr. WernickA declaration of Spring: music, community, and jubilation has returned to Planet Bluegrass. This revelation in this springtime energy continues April 9 as Pete Wernick & Flexigrass and Long Road Home are welcomed to the Wildflower Pavilion in Lyons.

Béla Fleck praises the fundamentally futuristic acoustic sextet Pete Wernick & Flexigrass video: "I love the way [Flexigrass] blends bluegrass banjo into an early jazz band. A very appealing combination." Meanwhile, the traditional bluegrass of Long Road Home, brings together five of Colorado's finest musicians - RockyGrass band contest winners Martin Gilmore & Justin Hoffenberg, RockyGrass mandolin contest champion Jordan Ramsey, Grammy winning bassist Gene Libbea, and Dr. Banjo Pete Wernick.

Aspen Music Festival

Big dreamers. Big stars. Big music.

Set in the awe-inspiring majesty of the Colorado Rockies, the Aspen Music Festival and School has carried on the vision of creativity and education that started with the 1949 Goethe Bicentennial Convocation.

Elizabeth and Walter Paepcke of Chicago launched the two-week celebration in Aspen that brought figures such as Albert Schweitzer, Arthur Rubinstein, and many other noted individuals for lectures, symposia, and concerts. Uniting the intersecting worlds of ideas, art, and natural beauty, this event started something special: fostering the growth of the human spirit through the melding of art and nature.
