Sadly, for those of you who may have looked forward to the Summer of Love at the Taos Solar Music Festival, the sluggish economy turned the festival into a victim. Organizers called off this year's event.
"You don't know what you've got till it's gone." That line from an old Joni Mitchell song rang with a little more irony Thursday (March 5) as Taos Solar Music Festival producers Dawn Richardson and Dan Sherman announced that their decade-long event will not be happening this year.
"It's been really hard," Richardson said about coming to what obviously has been a painful decision. "People have no idea what we've had to go through personally."
Don't be too quick to count the festival down and out.
Taos Solar Music Fest Will be Back in 2010.
