About Reach Out

Reach Out was started after cofounder Michael Allan worked as a counselor at a summer camp held by the MDA. While attending this summer camp, he was moved by the needs of the campers, and became aware of the struggles that the children and their families faced on a daily basis. Becoming aware of these hardships drove us to from Reach Out in order to make a difference. We are now seeking your help.

Reach Out’s goal is to create an alliance between Houston bands, regional businesses, and corporations to raise both awareness and funds for worthy causes. Reach Music Festival is a concert held to at Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land from 1:00 to 10:00 PM. This concert is composed of a variety of bands who are interested in supporting charitable causes through live music. We raise money by accepting corporate pledges, donations during the concert, wristband sales, and concessions. The MDA will be sending an ambassador who is currently living with muscular dystrophy to speak about how the MDA assists people like her each and every day.

The goal of this charity concert is to make a strong financial contribution to that will help improve the lives of those affected by muscular dystrophy. We ask for your support and participation to make this charitable event a reality.
