The annual Torrey Music Festival is coming in beautiful Torrey, Utah. Torrey is located in the south-central part of the state, in the heart of the red-rock canyon country. Named for a colonel in the Spanish-American War, Torrey is in Wayne County, which covers approximately 2,500 square miles of glorious alpine and desert scenery, and only 2,500 inhabitants. Nonetheless, the county has a long history of supporting artists and the arts.

Buddy Merrill, a highly dexterous guitarist who rose to fame on the Lawrence Welk Show, grew up and played his first notes here. More recently, the county’s friendly people and inviting surroundings have attracted other musicians, including singer-songwriters, Celtic fiddlers and up-tempo bluegrass bands.

Park City Music FestivalCelebrating Utah's Longest-Running Classical Music Festival

The Park City International Music Festival, or, as it is sometimes called, the Park City & Salt Lake City Music Festival, is about to celebrate its 25th Summer Season as Utah's oldest classical music festival. The Festival features outstanding classical soloists from around the world performing together in exciting, spontaneous chamber music concerts presented for intimate audiences in spectacular venues in both the Park City area and Salt Lake City. The Park City & Salt Lake City Music Festival, along with the Autumn Classics Music Festival, the Sonolumina Ensemble and the Park City Film Music Festival, is a project of the Park City Chamber Music Society, a 501-c-3 non-profit organization.
