Peter Rowan

Peter Rowan is an American bluegrass musician. Rowan plays guitar and mandolin, yodels and sings. He was a member Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys in the 1960s. In the 1970s, he joined David Grisman and Jerry Garcia in forming Old and in the Way. Since then, he has been involved in many group and solo projects. Singer/songwriter Peter Rowan was one of the major cult bluegrass artists of the '80s, winning a devoted, international fan base through his independent records and constant touring. Rowan continues to work with a variety of musicians and tour.

Over the past several years, Michael Hearne and South by Southwest have created a new and unique kind of music. “Southwestern Americana” as Michael calls it “Songs about the southwest with an acoustic feel”.

Michael Hearne’s incredibly smooth voice and amazing acoustic guitar style combined with Carmen Acciaioli’s musical mastery of the steel guitar, fiddle, mandolin, dobro, and hammered dulcimer, with the extremely talented Zeke Severenson on stand up and electric bass and you have what people all over the Southwest and beyond call their favorite band.

Sagebrush Alley Leads to New Orleans -The Jimmy Stadler Band’s new CD, “ Sagebrush Alley”, starts with a track that celebrates the vitality of New Orleans. “The Big Easy” features legendary keyboardist Bill Payne (Little Feat, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne) on the revival style song with a sing along chorus. The rest of the all-original 13 tracks will take you thru songs about life, work, play, love, pain and optimism.
