The only reason guys like these are still there putting out music is for the love of the music and of the people that share that love with them. It's music that comes from where they come from -- both from the high desert and from the mountain landscape of their home and from the background and experiences of their lives -- sort of a laid-back - high-energy - gentle-giant - old-blue-buffalo - grama-grassy - cowboy-folky - shake-a-leg - with-a-smile sort of thing. |

Taos singer songwriter Bob Aldo has released two new singles that he wrote. These delightful new songs are quite different. Steer Horns on My Subaru is a comedy C&W song that has been played on NPR's car talk. Some C&W radio DJ's are playing it (including Captain Carl). The second one is a serious world-music/rock/pop song that several Taos musicians worked on, called Africa. It celebrates Africa as the birthplace of the human race. Besides being available for Direct Download on taosmusic.com, this one is available as a beautifully packaged cd single. The group that Bob put together for this project is called Planet Taos (and "exists" only in the studio). |

with the extremely talented Zeke Severenson on stand up and
electric bass and you have what people all over the Southwest
and beyond call their favorite band. |
