Ani Defranco

Ani DiFranco is a songwriter, vocalist and guitarist perpetually on the move. From the raw "folk punk" of her early albums through the jazz/funk grooves she created during her years touring with a five-piece band to the twists and turns of her current work as a solo artist, Ani's restless creativity continually leads her and her listeners into ever more exciting territory. Peter Rowan

Peter Rowan is an American bluegrass musician. Rowan plays guitar and mandolin, yodels and sings. He was a member Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys in the 1960s. In the 1970s, he joined David Grisman and Jerry Garcia in forming Old and in the Way. Since then, he has been involved in many group and solo projects. Singer/songwriter Peter Rowan was one of the major cult bluegrass artists of the '80s, winning a devoted, international fan base through his independent records and constant touring. Rowan continues to work with a variety of musicians and tour.

Steel Pulse

Probably the UK's most highly-regarded roots reggae outfit, Steel Pulse originally formed at Handsworth Wood Boys School, Birmingham, and comprised David Hinds (lead vocals, guitar), Basil Gabbidon (lead guitar, vocals) and Ronnie McQueen (bass). However, it is Hinds who, as songwriter, has always been the engine behind Steel Pulse, from their early days establishing themselves in the Birmingham club scene onwards. Formed in 1975, their debut release, 'Kibudu, Mansetta And Abuku" arrived on the small independent label Dip, and linked the plight of urban black youth with the image of a greater African homeland. They followed it with 'Nyah Love' for Anchor. Discography Follows...
