He frequently performs in northern New Mexico. You can hear Rick DeStefano playing solo at the Western Sky Cafe, or in duos with vocalist Cindy Valerio, or bass guitarist David Bynoe. Rick DeStefano is also a leader of the popular 5-piece blues / R&B combo, Afterburner Blues Band, and frequently performs at the Alley Cantina and the Old Blinking Light.

Rick DeStefano is also a member of Daniel Thurmer's rock band, Hot House, and appears on their recently-released CD, Hot House. Both "Afterburner" and "Hot House" are in hiatus during September and October 2002. Rick is concentrating on rehearsing with his CD musicians (the Hard Times Band) for live performances to promote the CD. Singer Kelly Stebbins will be getting restive soon and will fire up "Afterburner" again or start a new band.

Watch Rick DeStefano's site: rickdestefano.com. On Rick's site you'll find samples from his new CD - "Another Hard Year in Taos" and "Hard Times".
