{mosImage}On "Bhav Puja" Raj Agni does the Vocals and plays Harmonium, Ektar, Tablas and Synthesizer. Bhav Puja was conceived in the summer of 2004 as an anthology of the recordings of Raj Agni. The idea was to set a sequence of songs that would take the listener through the Puja (or prayer) experience. Selections from Bhav Puja are available from taosmusic.com as 99¢ individual song direct downloads. Raj uses instrumentation from the eastern musical traditions (sitar, tablas, harmonium, ektar and kartals) and adds guitars, bass, synthezsizer and orchestral sounds. Then, rich vocal harmonies are layered into the mix. It's unique blend creates an atmosphere rich in "bhav" (the experience of spiritual emotion). Bhav Puja was digitally remastered from the original recordings, songs which had first been heard in the Albums "Bhav" and "Shakti Bhakti". Because of advancements in the recording process, sound enhancement and noise supression were used to bring out the sonic qualities of the original recordings.
