Jimmy Stadler Band Sagebrush Alley Leads to New Orleans -The Jimmy Stadler Band’s new CD, “ Sagebrush Alley”, starts with a track that celebrates the vitality of New Orleans. “The Big Easy” features legendary keyboardist Bill Payne (Little Feat, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne) on the revival style song with a sing along chorus. The rest of the all-original 13 tracks will take you thru songs about life, work, play, love, pain and optimism. Fans of this Taos/Santa Fe, NM band know the group does not limit themselves to any one genre
and this CD reflects that variety. With the able backing of Craig Neil on drums, percussion and background vocals, and Dave Toland on bass guitar, the tracks take the listeners through a range of styles from alternative country and rock to blues. Co-written by the band, the songs have well crafted
arrangements that employ Jimmy Stadler’s multi-instrument
talents. At home on piano, electric guitar, mandolin,
acoustic guitar, organ and harmonica, Jimmy Stadlers’s
musicality shines throughout the CD, which is anchored by his lead
vocals
Produced and engineered by Craig Neil at his studio
“Sound Choice Production” in Santa Fe, NM, the band
enjoyed the creative process with a schedule that allowed them to
“get it right, not just get it done.”
Voted Best Rock Band in Taos for seven years in a row this CD shows why
their appeal goes beyond the rock category.
